Good idea, but the worst aspect of Elden Ring are repeating bosses.

Honestly the easiest remembrance boss for me has to be Lichdragon Fortissax. He’s so late in the game that your build will be done by the time you get to him, and you’ll have fought so many dragons by that point that he just kinda dies like the rest. Not to mention the dlc gave us multiple weapons geared towards dragon hunting so I’m sure he’ll be even easier now if I hadn’t already killed him in like 20 seconds. Seriously, he needs more unique moves and more health, like Bayle and Placidusax

Youre crying about healing in the souls game where you can heal by attacking and talking about shaking during bosses as you spastically dodge roll the slowest attack you could have just casually walked under. How do you play so much souls and pay so little attention then cry about it?

Dlc bosses are way more difficult

Bloodborne was my first souls game. Elden ring is my second. I cannot tell you how many times I assumed I'd be dead from what I thought was a mis-timed dodge in Elden Ring bc that same timing would have left you hanging in bloodborne. So many boss attacks have 2 consecutive hit outputs meaning if you dodge in the wrong direction the later hit will still be able to get you. And then Orphan.

I think the biggest issue with Elden Rings bosses is since they do so much damage and have relatively little health it ends up encouraging very repetitive and cheesy playstyles which limits how much build variety there really is when you're most encouraged to spam the most meta ash of war or op spell faster then the enemy can kill you and far too often you're just rewarded for it since a large amount of the bosses in the game cant handle the damage that even a decently built character can easily throw out. ironically this ends up with way too many bosses feeling like pushovers with only the VERY small amount of bosses like Melania even giving people trouble after the first playthrough. 238 bosses in the game and i can count at most 10 that actually offer a fun and challenging fight. ER is an amazing first time experience that fees like it could lose more then half of its content and would probably be a better game for it.

Run to the smelter demon is easy. Its the run to the spider boss in demons souls. That shit was on a different plane of existence. DS2 is easy, if the bosses are easier, then you can be garunteed to probably win right? Then dont book it to the boss. Pick off your enemies with a bow in ds2 and bait them. Makes DS2 Entirely easier. ds2 Isnt hard because of its enemies, its hard cuz ld its level design and the way the enemy waves are structured and how persistent they are. Dark Souls 2 was Demons Souls 2 but with more to work with.

As much as i loved playing the game through the first time the best way i can describe replaying elden ring versus replaying other souls game is that when i replay through a game like dark souls or bloodborn im experiencing the game again with a new build and playing naturally to that endpoint of the build while Elden Ring feels more like having to complete a checklist of requirements to get to what feels like my builds endpoint to actually play the game while also needing to ignore the vast majority of the content. honestly the issue of enemies and sadly alot of bosses feeling like not being necessary to fight unless your after a very specific reward makes exploring after your first time just really uninteresting since its just you running to each boss and legacy dungeon with a lot of empty space in the middle. Leveling just takes way too fucking long and just isn't very engaging when you're either doing boring copy paste dungeons or farming.

Now that the DLC has come out I feel like these issues are now doubly correct and only now truly realized just how tedious replaying the game really is when making a new character for the sake of the DLC. replaying through the side content just to get the right talismans/weapons/armor to set up my build was an absolute slog especially with just how bad leveling is in the game. Do yourself a favor and mod in a save file to get everything you need to actually make a character and STOP FARMING. holy shit i never realized how much fun the game is when your not wasting your life farming for runes or items on consecutive playthroughs. The DLC itself is designed far better then the base game and feels more like a fromsoftware experience with more bespoke locations and meaningful bosses repeated content. I hope future games are more like the DLC and less like the base game given how much of a better job it does at creating a open world that doesnt feel bloated

Love to be that guy, so anyway I have info that might help, in the nameless king phase you have the opportunity to attack if he does an odd number of attacks. ie: 1, 3, 5 and if its an even number, 2, 4, 6 he can immidietly extend the combo. With this info while I couldnt quite no hit him(skill issue) I could or can semi-reliably get him while only taking 1 or 2 hits in the nameless king phase even with a meh wepon and level The first phase with the camera as your enemy is still bullshit and the dragons hitbox seems to dissapear sometimes so that part is still unfair

I had a ton of fun with Dark Souls 2. I don’t think I had much trouble with the boss runs, though I did beat most bosses on the first try and the ones I didn’t usually had bonfires pretty close to them. The hardest boss for me was definitely the fume knight, but I didn’t know about adaptability either. His attacks were almost impossible to dodge and they did so much damage. Otherwise I didn’t have much trouble with the game. I didn’t play the SoTFS version on my first play through, though which I know messes with a ton of enemy placement in the base game. I did play through it recently and It did feel a lot harder to me, but I’ve heard differing opinions on it. I like the vanilla version a lot more, but maybe that’s just because it’s what I started with. Anyways, yay, the frigid outskirts sucked.

I really have never felt like Orphan was that bad. I feel like Bloodborne overall is on the easier side for the series, only Demon's Souls being easier. Mostly because of the fact that ranged attacks are safe, powerful AND can parry. Also, taking advantage of the rally system make most things relatively easy. I'd not rank any BB boss in top 10 personally.

Just redownloaded bloodborne after not touching it since 2017. Never got past the first boss but now I’m dedicated to actually taking the time to learn and play. Only other souls game I played was DS3 when it first came out and I only got past the first three bosses. Lord help me for the frustration I’m about to irritate
